Summary:

Reporting to the Senior Vice President (SVP)/Chief Information Officer (CIO), this position plans and leads the teams responsible for 24/7/365 management and operations of OneAZ Credit Unions information services. Leads the Information Technology (IT) department, by setting and directing operational objectives, workstreams/plans, and ad hoc assignments to department management and teams, as appropriate.

Responsible for the design, development and implementation of organizational information systems, software applications, and IT support and infrastructure systems. Direct and mange IT plans, schedules, policies and programs for an organizations data processing, network communications, business operations, computer services and management information systems, according to established goals and objectives.

High-level tasks include implementation of emerging information technologies identified by CIO, to be analyzed, assimilated, and integrated within the organization. Oversees the development of mission-critical applications and technology to support the companys long-term goals and, depending on company size, provide direction and leadership to one or a number of development teams.

A typical day might include the following:

Oversees Engineering, Technical Support, System Administration and Computer Operations departments.

Manage a staff of up to 30 exempt and non-exempt personnel.

Build, manage, and mentor the IT team, including ensuring ongoing training and development.

Direct and manage IT plans, schedules, practices, and projects for OneAZs data processing, network communications, business operations, computer services, and information systems.

Oversee the design, development, implementation, and operation of information systems, software applications, and IT support and infrastructure.

Understand all aspects of IT components.

Research new systems, software products, and services.

Be continuous improvement oriented and capable of driving efficiencies into an operational environment.

Successfully manage and serve internal and external associates and partners.

Implement best and market-competitive practices on service level standards, controls, and upgrades.

Implement advance planning for capacity and business continuity requirements, while driving for operational efficiency and financial excellence.

Advance a service-oriented business line that uses closed-loop learning in issue prediction, detection, and resolution. Review and maintain escalation and trouble ticketing system.

Manage and maintain strong relationships internal/external partners and service providers.

Develop and monitor ITs budget.

Coordinate personnel assignments and time-off requests.

Implement and maintain best operational practices.

Fulfill network reporting functions including performance, availability, and Service Level Agreement compliance reports.

Risk management, resource allocation, project prioritization.

Research of new systems, software products and services recommended and approved by CIO.

Review and maintain escalation and trouble ticketing system.

Maintain a service-oriented environment focused on problem prediction, detection, and resolution.

Monitor and manage system compliance with established policies & procedures.

Education & Experience we're looking for:

Associate or bachelors degree in a relevant field of study.

Coursework in Information technology management, strategic management of technology and innovation technology is preferred.

10+ years managing IT operations and/or network operations.

Management experience with teams of 10 or more, ideally with operational teams and contingent/contract workers.

Proven leadership and track record driving operations to improved performance.

Advanced understanding of network operations.

Familiarity with network protocols, and operating system configuration.

To be able to work, approve, decline, or guide engineers on design and implementation.

Vendor service management experience a big plus.

Experience with performance tuning and monitoring tools.

General knowledge of storage and connectivity technologies, and directory services.

Proven experience with systems planning, security principals, and general software management best practices.
