We are hiring a **_Sr Director, China Portfolio Strategy Business Leader_** ! This exciting and highly visible new created role will serve as the Greater China portfolio acceleration program leader for the Coronary and Structural Heart (CSH) Division which include three businesses (Coronary Renal Denervation, Structural Heart, and Cardiac Surgery). You will drive and lead the execution of commissioned projects, in collaboration with individual core team leaders for each project, ensuring alignment and achievement of individual project objectives and the overarching strategy and vision across all projects. You essentially will be a super core team leader and will partner with each project core team leader (3-5 teams) to help drive CSH in-country execution and implementation and cross-functional alignment with the regional functions ensuring focus and resource allocation to achieve the agreed upon project objectives, budgets and timelines. You will be a key liaison for China regional and SBU executive leadership for all programs related to CSH portfolio in China.

We will look to you to provide project leadership and strong collaboration and direction to the cross-functional teams on-the-ground in China (to include Sales, Marketing, Health Economics/ Reimbursement, Strategy, Business Development, Finance, Operations, HR, Legal, RD, Quality, Supply Chain, Clinical, and Government Affairs). You will lead the development and strategic direction, scenario planning and analysis, and project planning for the overall CSH China portfolio acceleration program, including the strategic, financial and operational objectives of the program. You will have oversight of multiple project teams simultaneously (mostly indirectly), and drive the program leadership governance and project execution, in collaboration with multiple core team leaders, functional leaders and key stakeholders. This role will also have broader influence, engagement and connectivity with other CVG and MDT China globalization and localization efforts, and will play a key connection point and intersection between the CVG divisions.

This position will report directly to the Vice President, Strategy, Growth and Business Development, CSH. The role will also take direction from the CSH China Strategy Business Committee and the key CSH Senior Staff members that own each project, including but not limited to certain therapy general managers, in order to align and drive appropriate influence management. This role does not officially have direct reports but will lead/manage thru other leaders.

**A Day in the Life:**

Lead and influence senior and executive management on the development of strategy, planning and execution, starting from the business case development to execution across multiple projects, working closely with the cross-functional teams to prioritize and make recommendations and execute accordingly across CSH.

Serve as a single point of contact to maintain communications and clear alignment with each project core team leader, the CSH China Strategy Business Committee, and China functional teams, taking ownership from current state through final implementation across all projects.

Direct alignment of on-the-ground day-to-day activities and resources of each project and activities for multiple cross-functional teams

Establish, monitor and track project and program performance against value drivers, key performance indicators, milestones and metrics specific to each active project and overarching program.

Present current status and report progress and key metrics to management, keeping all stakeholders informed of progress and issues for each active project.

Build strong collaborative relationships across the enterprise and ensure alignment with proposed strategies and plans.

Interacts and works closely with other departments, such as, but not limited to, Sales, Marketing, Legal, RD, HEPP, Finance, Business Development, Strategy, Government Affairs, Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, and Clinical to ensure optimal assessment of the potential business impact and risk of implementing appropriate business strategies.

Be a change agent and influence the CSH organization and key internal and external stakeholders on how to think about and consider each scenario or solution differently, to meet the financial and strategic objectives.

Establish and maintain a detailed operational level of awareness and knowledge of products and technologies relevant to the therapies and diseases associated with the CSH business.

Ability to travel up to 35%, both domestically and internationally

Must be local to China or willing to relocate to China and have fluency (written and verbal) in both Chinese (preferably Mandarin), and English

**Must Have:**

Bachelors degree and 15+ years experience in a Strategy, Finance, Business Development, Marketing or Business Management role within the medical device, healthcare, med-tech, consulting or pharma industries (13 years with Advanced Degree)

Experience with business planning, strategy development, commercial execution and project management

Experience developing and managing functional and cross-functional relationships

Experience identifying and understanding global healthcare environment and industry trends

Experience understanding and using business and financial measures

Experience to developing opportunity assessments

Experience coordinating on-site and remote activities and experience prioritizing and providing solutions

Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, OneNote and/or similar other tools for analyzing, organizing, tracking, reporting and communication of project status

**Nice to Have:**


Prior people management experience, ideally leader of leaders/managers

Business strategies or project/program management experience within the Cardiac Vascular therapies markets

Experience providing program leadership over program managers

Demonstrated collaboration and influence skills

Advanced analytical and financial valuation skills

Experience with executive (c-suite level) presentations and/or local government leadership

Advanced project management certifications PDP, MBB, etc.
