The Senior Financial Reporting Analyst will be the key resource for all company financial and executive reporting. This role will be a bridge between the Accounting team and company leadership, creating reporting and executive presentations that accurately reflect financial results in an easily understood format. The role will work regularly with senior leadership in analyzing and business trends and new business opportunities. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting, analytical and presentation skills to be able to interpret data and information requests and present them to multiple audiences. The Senior Financial Reporting Analyst position will play a leadership role in Finance, requiring proactive completion of work and being a point person on the team for executive and department level requests.

Essential Duties:

  • Consolidate and analyze financial data (budgets, income statement forecasts etc.) taking into account company goals and financial standing
  • Assemble and summarize data to structure sophisticated reports on financial status and risks
  • Drive process improvement and policy development initiatives that impact the function, particularly related to accounting and planning systems and financial reporting
  • Prepare executive level presentations for Senior Leadership Team and Board of Director Meetings
  • Help support Accounting team in consolidation and presentation of financial results in support of internal and external reporting needs
  • Create standardized department reporting to support monthly reporting and Quarterly Business Reviews
  • Partner cross-functionally to identify opportunities and solve through analytics and action plans
  • Create standardized line of business reporting to support ROI and investment analysis
  • Responsible for fulfilling external data requests from investors and financial institutions
  • Analyze data for breaks, inconsistencies, exceptions and communicate both internally and externally
  • Support and track strategic initiatives through analysis, reporting and data requests
  • Develop insight in market trend and opportunities, customer needs and challenges, and competitive intelligence
  • Ad hoc financial analysis as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Ability to take in a lot of information and distill the most critical points to be included in reports and presentation
  • Must be able to make sound judgement decisions and know when to ask their manager for assistance
  • Experience working with Executive level leadership in preparation of financial reports and presentations
  • Ability to communicate and partner with other departments in order to support reporting needs
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with ability to work independently
  • Knowledge of Accounting process, procedures and systems
  • Excellent writing and presentation skills with great attention to detail
  • Self- motivated with a strong desire to learn new products and technologies
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment, with the ability to multi-task
  • Ability to receive constructive criticism in a professional manner
  • Excellent computer skills are required; experience using email, instant message, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Oracle Cloud Financials and Reporting, as well as the ability to learn how to navigate unfamiliar systems or programs quickly.
  • Ability to use multiple computer programs at once
  • Attention to detail and accurate data entry in a fast-paced environment
  • Able to learn, understand, use, and master complex data models, systems, and tools (Ex: Oracle, Chartio, Business Objects, etc)

Supervisor Responsibilities: None


  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration or equivalent job-related experience
  • Minimum 5 years related work experience
  • Expert skills in Excel, Powerpoint, Oracle ERP/EPM or similar products

Working conditions:

  • Ability to work sitting at a computer for long periods of time
  • Ability to work on repetitive tasks and maintain focus
  • Environment where dogs may be present (office areas only)
