The Yelp Restaurants team is looking for a Training Manager to support the training and development of Yelps sales and customer success teams. The ideal candidate is relentlessly process driven, organized, and detail-oriented.

The Training Manager will support the creation and ongoing execution of Yelps sales and success development programs. The successful candidate will be a self-starter, able to think creatively, problem solve, and prioritize tasks in a fast-moving environment.

Where You Come In:

  • Assist in the creation of online training materials delivered within Yelps Learning Management System (Exceed)
  • Establish and improve on process for delivering and tracking training materials via Exceed.
  • Identify curriculum opportunities: Working closely with L&D team and our customers the ideal candidate will identify both new and improvement opportunities in our current New Hire and Existing Team Member Curriculums across both Sales and Customer Success organizations.
  • Ability to own a concept or initiative from inception to execution while continuing to identify KPI and evaluation metrics for all training initiatives.
  • Develop training materials utilizing the ADDIE model to provide high impact real world materials (both off and online) for existing team members and new hires within our Sales and Customer Success Orgs. 
  • Facilitate impactful New Hire Onboarding and Training for all New Hires within our Sales and Success roles.  Ability to clearly communicate our value, our products, our systems, and our processes to new hires ranging from brand new Sales/Success hires to experienced Sales/Success hires.
  • Measure and report on New Hire training effectiveness. Upload and manage surveys, tests, and assessments within Exceed and provide NH evaluations to Managers post training. Facilitate the feedback loop by following up with appropriate teams based on performance. 

What it Takes to Succeed:

  • 1-3 years working within a sales/success setting. Minimum 1 year experience in Learning & Development role or project related experience.  (B2B sales and/or SaaS experience strongly preferred)
  • Excellent facilitation skills and ability to create a realistic training environment to a wide variety of learners.
  • Ability to create job aids, presentations, training activities, etc. that are professional and impactful.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, comfort with analytics and reporting
  • Must have experience with and aptitude for technology; experience working within a Learning Management System a plus.
  • Ability to learn quickly, manage time effectively, and apply new tools and creative techniques to challenges and opportunities identified.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
  • Knowledge and passion for the restaurants and hospitality industry.  Real life experience in restaurants a plus.
  • Ability to travel as needed up to 30% of month
  • Bachelors degree required
