This position will be located in Redondo Beach, CA. The Master Production Scheduler (MPS) will support the Manufacturing Production Organizations and Program IPTs for Space Systems Division. Essential Functions: - Schedule a sequence of fabrication, assembly, installation, and other manufacturing operations relating to a specific portion of the product for guidance of production work, material readiness and all aspects of scheduling related to meeting Program needs: - Load, analyze and monitor demands in the ERP system to create robust & attainable schedules. - To support future capabilities for the sector, candidate should also have knowledge of capacity & resource planning to work in parallel with Industrial Engineering for level loading of schedules. - Project Management and analysis of manufacturing scheduling activities including coordination across multiple disciplines such as: production planning, quality assurance, manufacturing, purchasing, engineering, inventory control, material requirements planning and Program Scheduling. - Ensure production control and parts integrators expedite appropriate material baseBasic Qualifications: -Minimum of a Bachelors degree with 3 years of experience in Manufacturing Operations, Project Management, MRP or Supply Chain; OR Master's Degree with 1 year of experience in Manufacturing Operations, Project Management, MRP or Supply Chain - Experience with Scheduling and/or ERP/MRP systems - Experience with capacity and resource planning - Ability to obtain and maintain a SCI Security Clearance (US Citizenship Required) - Proficient writing and presentation skills with the ability to conduct presentations to upper management - Proficient in Microsoft Project, Excel, and PowerPoint Preferred Qualifications: - Prior experience with budget management - Bachelors degree in Business, Supply Chain, Project Management or Engineering OR Masters Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Project Management or Engineering - Data analysis and problem solving skills - Experience with SAP - APICS Certification - Understanding of Master ProductionScheduling principles - Experience in managing manufacturing processes, productivity, capacity and efficiency measurements - Experience in Aerospace or Defense Industry Northrop Grumman is committed to hiring and retaining a diverse workforce.
