The loan operations department supports the lending teams and provide essential customer service support to our customers. Implicit in the job function is being a collaborative team player with strong relationship management, customer service, and communications skills.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide phone support and process various loan maintenance requests via phone or email such as address change, auto-pay, ACH, etc.
  • Opening mail daily, sort items, and provide to others
  • Respond to internal and external customer inquiries and resolve all types of operation issues
  • Actively engage in cross-training activities within the Loan Ops team to support work flow during peak times or absences.
  • Scanning reports, recorded documents, and any other documents as requested
  • Prepare payoff letters for internal and external customer
  • Paid Loan Processing: Prepare release of cancelled loan documentation, prepare release of various collateral types, prepare loan payoff overages, manage paid loan filing system.
  • Insurance Portfolio Management: monitor and update insurance tickler data, follow up on expired/cancelled/reinstated insurance notifications with Lender, Agent and/or Borrower.
  • Loan Monetary Transactions; process loan payments (P&I, Int & Esc), loan advances, loan pay downs, intra bank monetary transactions, wire transfers, participation payments, fees (i.e late charge fee waiver) and non-accrual/charge-off payments.
  • Review of various daily and monthly loan reports.
  • Attend all suggested training and/or webinar classes as assigned.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable state and federal laws and with Bank policies and procedures.
  • May perform other duties as assigned to meet the ongoing needs of the bank.



POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Excellent relationship management, customer service and communication skills
  • Is analytical, detail-oriented and possess good problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, deadline driven environment while delivering highest levels of customer service.
  • Prior loan operations and/or other banking experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft WORD and EXCEL. In addition, must be able to quickly learn other computer programs/platforms, as required.
  • Proficient in bank data processing system FIS IBS Insight or similar preferred.
  • Familiarity with basic accounting principles.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associates degree preferred or equivalent experience.
  • At least 2-3 years of experience in banking, processing and/ or customer service experience; loan operations experience preferable.
