Responsibilities

Position Summary:

This position will support in both Investments and Internal Audit. The Analyst will support with Investments reporting, Investment request processing, master data maintenance and the evaluations and updating of capital Spend on specific manufacturing projects. He will assist with the calculation of Return on Investments such as net present values, internal rate of returns and simple payback.

The Analyst will also help with internal audit engagements and the evaluation and assessment of the business operations processes. He will assess and monitor the adequacy and effectiveness of existing processes and internal controls and will review compliance with established policies and procedures. Responsibilities include improving current business processes using SAP functionality to support end users and to resolve problems.

Responsibilities: Essential Duties

  • Report actual and forecast future capital spending as part of the month-end closing cycle in collaboration with all US production sites and operating departments.
  • Control and monitor all capital project costs. Analyze, compile, and report investment data for project review meetings.
  • Analyze, report and monitor all spending associated with key projects using the SAP module PS (Project System)
  • Support the financial study and calculation of financial returns of the new projects
  • Support the launch of new products through financial data analysis
  • Conduct post-realization audits with regards to expected returns on investment
  • Forecast depreciation expense based on current fixed assets, assets under construction and new project spend
  • Assist in the Planning, Testing and Communication phases of internal audits.
  • Identify and monitor financial and operational risks.
  • Evaluate and monitor safeguarding of the company's assets.
  • Perform business process reviews in order to help the business clients identify opportunities for higher effectiveness and efficiencies.
  • Analyses of general economic, business, and financial conditions and their impact on the company's financial results.
  • Preparation of ad-hoc analyses and reports as required by management
  • Collects and analyzes financial information for assigned accounts, products or product lines, or business units in order to track the organization's progress against financial goals.
  • Reports current or expected financial performance and creates financial models to guide decision making.
  • Analyzes cash flow, expenditures, revenue, depreciation, and investments to make recommendations for action and/or modifications regarding financial procedures, plans, and controls.
  • Assists in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, or annual financial statements.
  • Assists in the preparation of financial forecasting.

Expertise: Knowledge & Skills

  • Excellent MS Excel and SAP knowledge, cost accounting, financial accounting principles, project management.
  • Computer skills to include MS Applications like, Excel with advanced formulas, Access database knowledge and Power Point Presentations.
  • Strong analytical & critical thinking skills, excellent verbal and written communication, very good presentation style, multiple tasking, planning and organizing, good judgment, experience in working in an international environment.
  • Requires basic knowledge of relevant business practices and procedures in professional field. Uses standard theories, principles and concepts and integrates them to propose a course of action.
  • Works under general supervision. Relies on experience and judgement to plan and accomplish assigned goals. May periodically assist in orienting, training, and/or reviewing the work of other peers.
  • Judgement is required in resolving all day-to-day problems.
  • Contacts are primarily with department supervisors, leads, subordinates, and peers. Occasional contact with external contractors/vendors.

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • 2-4 years of experience in an accounting or Internal Audit department

Desired:

  • CIA/CMA/CPA/CFE
  • Experience from the business (Operations, Supply Chain, Warehousing, Sales & Marketing)




Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 02-04 years related experience required.
  • Applicable industry/professional certification required.
  • Regular and predictable attendance
  • Occasional business travel required

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
