Summary of Position

As a member of the JobsOhio marketing team, you will collaborate cross-functionally with the JobsOhio marketing and communications team, lead a team and vendors that will lead concept development and creative execution across all of our brand touchpoints, translating insights and intuitions into winning creative that builds our brands and drives results. You will lead a team of designers, project managers and vendors while working closely with our digital, brand and talent marketing teams. Your success will link directly to key business objectives including increased brand awareness and customer engagement. As a digital-first brand heavily reliant on building relationships, we rely upon creative to tell our story.

Duties and Responsibilities

The Director is responsible for managing a creative services team of internal staff and vendor support to oversee the creative and development of presentations, online/broadcast content, sizzle videos, print & graphic materials, exhibition presence. This position also requires fiduciary responsibilities for optimizing creative output within limited budgets. This is a hands-on role for someone who leads from the front and is skilled at translating complex organizational strategy into plans and materials for a variety of audiences.

  • Art Direction: Lead creative direction and campaign concepting; ensure that photo and video shoots align with marketing briefs while maintaining creative independence.
  • Operations: Relentless focus on execution overseeing daily tasks tied to creative production and troubleshooting issues that could slow down the process. This includes budgets and team workflows.
  • Outside Agencies: Serve as relationship lead for external agencies who may lead large scale campaign efforts down to a freelance photographer to complete a small project.


Experience Requirements

  • 10 years work experience, preferably including Associate Creative Director or Creative Director experience on the agency or brand side.
  • You understand the big picture for the campaign objective while being detailed oriented obsessed with pixels and punctuation.
  • You are bold yet humble being receptive to input from cross functional partners
  • You understand the importance of data to help guide creative efforts and are comfortable using it to help inform direction
  • A thorough understanding of website and mobile design via customer experience
  • Excellent decision-making and communication skills
  • Track record for leveraging data to inform design choices
  • Experience in B2B and B2C marketing
  • You have experience managing and getting results out of agency and strategic partners
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines
  • Excellent time management and organizations skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Manage challenging situations and communicate with internal stakeholders
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Engaged, flexible, motivated and success driven

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required or related creative expertise
