Position Summary:

The Design manager will have to move and live within t he cloud, multi-channel, omni-channel, and the sheer spread of the Revance market . UX will have to be coordinated and deployed across numerous touchpoints, stretching more resources across more screens. Strongly believe that UX is a force that can not only improve people's experiences but that it can also drive business. Cross-channel architectures will have to be defined. Bets will have to be made of where to be good, where being okay is enough, or where to not be at all . If you have a proven track record of doing all this, then this is the role for you!

Responsibilities:
  • Manage user experience and deliver business outcomes through improving customer's experience with a product or service. (Not only better user testing results, but also deliver better adoption, growth, revenue, retention, and margin).
  • S ee the full spectrum of challenges that go with balancing last month's results with today's reality, next week's plan, and the next three years of strategy.
  • B alance the outside with the inside. Awareness that business results only exist on the outside of the organization - i.e. customers download, touch, "buy," share. Drive outside results so that internal - people, processes, costs, projects are aligned with what's going on outside.
  • Be a Problem-framer, not only a problem- solver - help your team and peers' teams break down and see the problems in the right way to yield interesting results. provide the right objectives and the right resources against them so the outcomes are as expected or even better impressively surprising.
  • Translate business strategies down to UX activities and vice-versa. translate business strategies into design opportunities for team in a manner that connects the values mission to the internal work that aligns with the greater business strategy. build a case, measure impact, integrate others in the work, then broadcast their story to the organization.
  • D elivering results, including but not limited to measur ing two or three steps upstream from that revenue-creating-momen t, while understanding the role analytics plays.
  • N urture team to build out your team of superheroes that have complementary but different skills in a manner that creates confidence, camaraderie, and career growth.
  • Confident making tradeoffs - especially when you must choose where to do the pragmatic / obvious things so your team can deliver innovative and impressive experience where it matters. Coaching/ coaxing teams to have the right focus and balancing resources.

Qualifications:
  • Proven expertise of having stepped up to hold the reins of leadership, put reputation on the line to lead a team to deliver results, yet still connect and remember the values that attracted them to the field of UX in the first place.
  • Expertise in UX, information architecture, visual design, developer, and being comfortable in a role where there is no playbook being handed down from their predecessor.
  • Hands on experience in mak ing it up as you go along, and proven examples where you have turned that into an opportunity.
  • Model led best practice within UX and why it is important every day of the year, not just at the start of the project or before the product is released.
  • Spread a sense of shared values - translating that and aligning UX values with the results desired by the organization, defining the objectives that matter to both the team and the business.
  • Proven partnership with new peers - being paired with product managers and development managers to deliver solutions and defining overarching strategies for their function that also snap together to form product strategies .
  • D efine experience strategies - support customer journey and define the strategy for the what experiences they deliver and how to deliver them. Come up with focused and decisive plan for how an organization will interact with customers across touchpoints, and UX managers
  • Agile, Lean supporting UX research and UX design and Getting more customer insight more frequently from channel strategies, CRM & identity, pricing, and much more .
