To provide administrative and executive management of the Dartmouth College-American University of Kuwait (AUK) program by designing and managing procedures, monitoring and guiding activities and reporting progress to multiple audiences on a regular basis; to ensure the integrity of all administrative and fiscal functions of the Dartmouth-American University of Kuwait Program.

Key Accountabilities

Note: This position depends on annual continuation of funding through the Dartmouth- AUK Memorandum of Understanding or ending of such with 30 days' notice.

Internships, For-credit Exchanges, Faculty Fellowships, Training and Coordination Visits - Procures internships for AUK students from various departments at Dartmouth; Manages all logistics for housing, meals, visas, and internship placements for AUK students coming to Dartmouth in the summer term; Manages housing and visas for AUK faculty coming to Dartmouth in the summer; coordinates with the department where they will be doing research; Coordinates with the Guarini Institute on AUK students coming to Dartmouth for For-Credit exchanges; Sets up information sessions for Dartmouth students to learn about the AUK internships and for-credit exchanges; Coordinates with AUK on Dartmouth students going to AUK for internships and for-credit exchanges; Manages, designs, and coordinates AUK faculty and student summer programs. These activities sometimes require work outside regular business hours. (40%)

Administration - Reports to the program's Executive Director/Relationship Coordinator on all aspects of the program; Manages and performs all office operations; Supports Relationship Coordinator in performing non- AUK work as authorized by AUK ; Fosters existing and establishes new relationships between AUK and Dartmouth faculty, students and staff. Works with the Executive Director/Relationship Coordinator on sensitive and confidential work on behalf of the Executive Committee of the AUK Board of Trustees and senior AUK administrators; Coordinates and supervises internal (Dartmouth) and external (outside Dartmouth) consultants. (30%)

Financial/Budget Management - With the Executive Director/Relationship Coordinator, manages the annual program budget, which normally ranges from $350,000-420,000; Works with the Office of Sponsored Projects, the Provost's Office and the Admin Provost Finance Center; Monitors and reconciles all accounts and advises on financial issues; Initiates electronic purchase orders, requests for reimbursement, and intern stipends; Accountable to DOF Fiscal Office in matters related to current year budget and spending, P-card transactions/reconciliation and adherence to college policy. (20%)

Communication and Information Management - Serves as the primary point of contact representing the department to the institution and external constituencies, including students, visitors and community members. Responds to inquiries and provides information regarding the program; Initiates and coordinates internal and external publicity and communication for Dartmouth- AUK related activities; advertises info sessions and participates in the First Year Orientation Expo in September; Generates official correspondence on the program's behalf as appropriate; Keeps Dartmouth- AUK website up-to-date. (10%)
