What we're looking for in you
  • 7+ years of prior experience working with building automation systems and energy management systems.
  • 7 years of proficient understanding of Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems including the various components and processes.
  • 7 years of proficient understanding of mechanical systems: what they do and how they operate.
  • Tridium Certification (Version 4.3 or lower) required or ability to obtain within 1 year.
  • Niagara AX certification strongly preferred.
  • Experience with Honeywell products.


The purpose of your role as a BAS / Controls Specialist

The position oversees the controls specialists team ensuring above average performance and timely completion of sequence testing, project graphics, and point to point verification. This position helps organize and develop scope of work and project goals and outcomes.

Team Oversight:
  • Ensure sequence testing operations were performed accurately and efficiently.
  • Ensure point to point verification was conducted accurately and efficiently.
  • Ensure project graphics were developed, followed, and updated as needed.
  • Ensure all team members and clients understand the scope of work.

Team Collaboration:
  • Oversee and enforce quality control standards.
  • Coordinate with Designers, Account Executives and Project Managers to ensure successful project completion.

Leadership:
  • Perform quality checks on products and parts.
  • Review work orders and blueprints to ensure work is performed according to requirements.
  • Determine work assignments and procedures.
  • Supervise the work of specialists to ensure quality and conformance to specifications and/or budgets.
  • Develop, mentor, and lead the Controls System Specialist team
