Develops engineering designs and complete proposals covering Light Lifting Equipment inquiries. Has the responsibility to produce correct and competitive proposals in a timely manner, within the guidelines established by the Product Manager. Also assists where necessary to process Bills of Materials to insure proper production of sales orders.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES1. Plans, implements, and controls the direction and scope of proposals assigned to him/her. This involves all aspects of generating a proposal, engineering, drafting, technical descriptions, and costing.
2. Applies specialized knowledge to all proposals as required and as requested by other application engineers.
After proper approval, forwards all proposal information to the field.
Assists field personnel to obtain all relevant data and to clarify inquiries.
Maintains quote/project files as established by department and project guidelines.
Directly responsible for correct and competitive proposals within the result guidelines of the company.
Cleans up and organizes quote files in preparation for order entry. This includes generating updated target cost calcualtions and order result projections. The quote cleanup and order entry must be conducted in the most expeditious manner to avoid delays in the process.
Process BOM's for proper production of Light Lifting Equipment sales orders when necessary
