Yamhill County has one regular, full-time position for an Office Administrator to develop, coordinate, and manage administrative support in the criminal division, and staff and supervisors of the Victims’ Services and Support Enforcement Programs, including hiring, training, evaluating, and supervising. Other duties of this position will include managing administrative support staff, developing, implementing, and evaluating office procedures, developing, and recommending office policies, managing the acquisition, monitoring, and reporting on grants, participating in the selection of new personnel, entering, and certifying payroll, budgeting, planning, assigning, and scheduling work of subordinates, and other duties as assigned.
A bachelor’s degree in a related field and five years’ experience in program administration and personnel management are required. Any satisfactory equivalent combination of experience and training which ensures the ability to perform the work will be considered. Experience in a legal office is preferred. Successful completion of a criminal history background check is required.
The successful candidate must have excellent leadership and communication skills, both verbally and in writing and be self-directed, detail-oriented, and have the ability to work effectively with staff, victims, members of the public, and agency partners in a courteous, professional manner.
