IT Change Management Consultant
The Information and Technology Solutions' Change Management and Learning unit (ITSAL), reporting to the ITS Chief Information Office/Vice-president, addresses the "people" side of IT change through strategies and actions that drive adoption, minimize resistance, enhance skills, and maximize return on IT investments in alignment with the ITS Strategy and its business objectives.
The unit is responsible for:
- Change management and learning strategies in support of IT technology rollouts affecting WBG staff.
- Internal change management activities within ITS through communications, coaching, and other activities.
- Ongoing awareness and skills development on technology services and solutions for WBG staff.
- ITS staff learning programs to enhance the current and future skills of all IT professionals.
The unit works in close partnerships with ITS project and business sponsor teams throughout the project lifecycle designing and delivering the IT client change management plans that define how IT solution/service is rolled out to WBG and clients. We incorporate the following plans, as needed: communications, marketing, learning, support, stakeholder management, and sponsorship.
The Client Change Management consultant will support the delivery and implementation of change management and technology adoption strategies for a variety of projects. She/he will report to the Client Change Management Program Lead.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute Change Management IT Strategies applying the Prosci methodology to include sponsor & leadership alignment, communications, engagement, and readiness, learning and development, support and reinforcement, and success measurement.
- Ensure inquiries, needs and feedback from managers/supervisors and front-line staff engaged in change efforts are tracked as needed to monitor change outcomes, impacts to staff, and risks to project success.
- Manage the change management risks in the projects involved and implement risk mitigation plans to help assess potential reputational risks for ITS and proactively determine appropriate responses as needed.
- Design, write, produce, and disseminate internal change communication products (e.g., email messages, presentations, web content, internal news stories, brochures, multi-media products, Q&As, talking points, communications toolkits, etc.) that are strategic and consistently on-message about the project keeping in mind the mission and strategy of Information and Technology Solutions Network within the World Bank Group
Requirements:
- An advanced degree in a relevant field (i.e., Business, Communications, Organizational Development, etc.) with a minimum of 2 years of professional experience leading transformations; or a Bachelors' degree in a relevant field with 5 years of relevant professional experience, is required.
- Experience with the practical application of Change Management methods and models on at least two business transformation initiatives; experience in the following transformation areas is preferred:
- Transition to a SharePoint Online/Office 365-based Digital Workplace: technology, tools, work practices, behaviors, and culture.
- ERP Migration: replacing home-grown application with a commercial solution, adoption, minimize learning curve and risks assessment.
- Change Management certification: Certified Change Management Professional or Prosci Certified Change Practitioner accepted.
- The position requires analytical abilities and mature judgment, drive for results, a pragmatic and problem-solving mindset, an understanding of the WBG's business model, and strong interpersonal and communication skills (both oral and written).
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with internal/external partners in a multicultural and fast paced environment. Ability to develop solid relationships with key stakeholders and build productive partnerships.
