POSITION SUMMARY
This position reports to the HR Director. The Sr. Recruiter will coordinate all aspects of the recruitment process. Processes include, but are not limited to, interviewing and processing applicants and new employees in the provision and retention of staff to provide quality patient care for the community and surrounding areas.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Formal Education / Training:
Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field, preferred, at least five years of recruitment experience, or Associates Degree or PHR/SPHR Certification and at least seven years of recruitment experience.
Workplace Experience:
Recruitment experience; healthcare setting strongly preferred.
Equipment and Skills Training:
MS Word, Excel, Database (Meditech or similar).
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Physical Environment:
Office and all areas pertinent to position
Physical Effort:
Prolonged sitting and computer usage, standing, bending and stooping for filing purposes.
KEY RESULTS
1. Upon receiving job requisitions, develops and executes recruitment strategies to ensure a successful search in the given timeframe.
2. Initiates and/or handles the posting process in HealthcareSource (ATS). Ensures postings are in compliance with EEOC guidelines and hospital policies.
3. Develops and maintains a strong network of contacts to identify and source quality candidates. Maintains positive relationships with employees and potential employees.
4. Reviews and analyzes resumes/applications for current and future opportunities. Responsible for facilitating interviews of selected candidates along with hiring director.
5. Determines appropriate salary with HR Manager or HR Director, if required. Seeks support from HR Manager or HR Director for internal equity purposes.
6. Works closely with the designated HR Generalist in the preparation of offer letters to include title/salary, date of orientation/hire and other pertinent information.
7. Coordinates with others on the recruitment team to develop weekly/monthly recruitment statistics, for the HR metrics report (i.e., open positions, time-to-fill data, etc.)
8. Coordinates internal Transfer Requests once the HR Assistant has ensured employee meets all criteria. Ensures that appropriate paperwork is in place for a smooth transition. Communicates with both directors regarding the transfer process, if necessary. Creates change of status letters when appropriate. Coordinates with others on the HR team to reconcile open job requisitions with position control.
9. Coordinates and/or participates in internal and external recruitment activities such as Career Fairs in the community and at local colleges and universities. Schedules directors and/or supervisors and appropriate staff to attend.
10. Has in-depth understanding of all WMC departments' culture, skill set requirements, and director preferences in relation to recruitment of positions and hiring.
11. Understands the Nurse Residency Program coordinated by the appropriate HR Generalist and participates, as needed, to assist in recruiting for these positions.
12. Performs other duties as assigned.
