Wespay is a payments association dedicated to building and sharing knowledge to guide our 1000 members through their payments journey, from concept to operation. We work with financial institutions and companies that provide payment services. Our primary service area is the Western United States, including Alaska, Hawaii, and the U.S. territories in the Pacific; we are headquartered in San Francisco, CA.

We have an open position for a Vice President of Marketing. We are searching for a creative, motivated, data-driven, highly collaborative individual to join our team.

Position Summary

Our ideal candidate has a solid marketing background and work experience in a fast-paced environment. Under the general supervision of the SVP, Marketing, Membership, and Administrative Services, the VP of Marketing will be responsible for the development and execution of brand management and comprehensive marketing strategy to support the goals of Wespay. They will manage budgets, set goals, and conduct market research. This position requires a unique combination of "big picture" thinking with the ability to execute at a consistently high level of quality. Strong judgment skills are needed to capitalize on what already works while developing new approaches to lead Wespay to what's next.

The successful candidate is a hands-on, creative, and highly collaborative individual responsible for turning concepts into compelling marketing content and communications. This position is a pivotal new role at Wespay and will be a work-from-home office anywhere in the Western U.S. A small amount of business travel is anticipated.

  • Identify, plan, and implement a comprehensive marketing strategy for dynamic member communications across multiple channels that aligns with company goals and effectively communicates Wespay's value propositions while delivering a creative, consistent design and maintaining brand experiences and
  • Design, plan, execute and report results of effective marketing campaigns in line with the plan & determine and implement metrics to measure campaign effectiveness making recommendations from findings.
  • Manage, communicate, and execute a multichannel marketing
  • Build a high-performing marketing team with staff and third-party resources and ensure effective coordination with all stakeholders.
  • Conceptualize, manage high-quality production, and deliver marketing assets using Microsoft Suite, AdobeCreative Cloud, Salesforce, and Marketing
  • Work with colleagues to execute and continually improve marketing automation programs and trend analytics in Salesforce for lead nurturing and lead
  • Manage and execute trade show visibility. Attend industry events, and groups as needed to stay involved with industry trends, interests, and
  • Define and manage the marketing department's budget.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing-related area
  • 10+ years of experience in marketing-related field; 5+ leading marketing/brand strategy
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically, plan proactively, communicate effectively, and develop and maintain effective relationships both internally and externally.
  • Creative thinker able to design solutions and communicate ideas in a clear, straightforward manner with the ability to also be hands-on.
  • Strong analytical and project management skills.
  • Ability to stay focused and organized while juggling a high volume of daily marketing assets in varying stages of development; multi-task in a deadline-driven, fast-paced
  • Ability to understand the member journey across multiple channels while delivering an informed, consistent design and maintaining brand experiences and brand
  • Expertise in data-driven multichannel relationship marketing using tools that cross-web, mobile, social, email, and traditional direct
  • Experience with CRM/AMS systems and digital marketing tools such as Microsoft Suite, Adobe Creative Cloud, Salesforce, Marketing Cloud, and Google Analytics.
  • Experience managing members of a staff and must be comfortable collaborating with senior-level management.
  • Excellent attention to detail, excellent organizational, advanced planning, and commitment to the accuracy of company communications and standards.
