Test Engineer
This role will coordinate and perform software development test activities for human-medical imaging-based software and hardware products. He/she will work with the software development engineers using the Agile methodology to develop and implement test strategies, setup, and manage the equipment required to perform testing. Will also coordinate with the system and software quality test engineers to understand product requirements and verification and validation test activities. May prepare software builds and software build reports according the design control process.
SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS
Utilizes good time management skills for on-time delivery of assignments. Documents work deliverables according to the company standards and industry regulations. Participate in meetings for daily status, refinement, test strategies, sprint reviews and retrospective reviews.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND CERTIFICATIONS
- Proficient in creating, reviewing, and editing relevant technical documents.
- Proficient in employing the latest industry techniques and practices.
- Familiar with the latest available tools or standards used in the industry to complete task(s).
- Experience with Software Development using the Agile Methodology.
- Experience in the areas of usability and user experience.
- Skilled in areas of systematic error analysis.
- Knowledge of medical imaging (DICOM) and medical software environment.
- Experience writing automated tests and working with applications for image-based medicine .
- Experience in testing applications according to regulatory requirements.
- Ability to read and write software code is desired. Specifically, C#, WPF and SQL.
Experience Level with Business Tools
- Proficient in business tools such as: E-mail, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to learn job specific tools such as Jira and EtQ.
Job Complexity
- Work with the team to help resolve and test software or hardware issues and feature improvements of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors.
Interaction
- Networks with internal personnel including Product Owners, Scrum Masters, Software, System, Test, and Service engineers using the Agile methodology.
Education and Experience
- B.S. degree and 5+ years of related experience
