The University of South Carolina seeks a vibrant, creative interior design professional to develop meaningful and purposeful designs in the Construction and Renovations for University Housing, reporting to the Director of Construction and Renovations for University Housing.
The ideal candidate assesses and develops housing system-wide space plans, arrangements and upfit. They would develop and manage interior design and renovation projects including layout, selection, finish, and material selections. They also apply sound project management practices involving facilities renovations in the areas of initiation, administration, internal and external collaboration, programming, budgeting, scheduling, status reporting, move planning and coordination, and procurement.

Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications: Master's Degree in related field and 2 years related experience, or Bachelor's Degree in related field and 4 years related experience.
Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Interior Design (accredited program) and 4 years related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired is preferred. Knowledge of FAMIS and PeopleSoft software preferred.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Microsoft Office computer programs is required. Knowledge of Americans With Disabilities Act. Minimum of 4 years' experience in interior design field to include space planning, furniture specifications and finish selections.
