Clinical Assistant/Associate Professor
The UMKC School of Pharmacy is seeking applicants for non-tenure-track, 12-month faculty appointments in the Division of Pharmacy Practice and Administration (DPPA) at its sites at the Clinical Assistant/Associate Professor rank to support the educational and the patient care missions of the UMKC SOP and their clinical partners.
Requirements:
Successful candidates will practice as a member of an interprofessional care team responsible for clinical pharmacotherapeutic patient care. Clinical responsibilities include providing quality, innovative pharmacy services to improve outcomes and achieve benchmarks. Duties also include patient education, medication adherence activities, and interdisciplinary education. Opportunities to practice under collaborative practice agreements exist. Academic responsibilities include precepting, didactic lecturing, interprofessional education, elective course instruction and/or development, skills-based assessment, and mentoring pharmacy residents. Scholarly productivity is expected. Service to the School, Division and University through participation in faculty meetings, service on committees, and to the profession through participation in state and national professional organizations is expected.
Excellent communication, interpersonal and patient care skills are essential. Candidates should also possess a collegial approach to their work; a passion for practice and education; and a desire to produce scholarly works. Candidates must have earned the Pharm. D. with post-doctoral residency and/or fellowship training or equivalent experience and be eligible for Missouri licensure.
