Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Medical Director
The Department of Orthopedics and Rehabilitation at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics is seeking a Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation physician to join our team of faculty physiatrists as Medical Director of our new freestanding inpatient rehabilitation facility. This facility is the first to be affiliated with the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, a Level 1 Trauma Center, and the state of Iowa's only comprehensive academic medical center.
This is an exciting opportunity for an academic-oriented physiatrist to play an integral role in the growth and development of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, with ample opportunities to participate in research and medical education. The ideal candidate has strong skills in leadership, program development and clinical care.
This is a full-time position being offered at the tenure or clinical track level.

Education Requirement:
- Graduate of an accredited medical school
- MD or DO with state medical licensure/eligible for state medical licensure
Required Qualifications:
- Experience in Medical Directorship
- Minimum of three years inpatient rehabilitation experience
- Excellent clinical and academic credentials
- Experience working in a team setting
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- A commitment to ongoing performance improvement
- Experience promoting a diverse workforce in an academic environment
Certifications:
- Board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, required
