The Clinical Neuroscience Research Center is recruiting a Medical Research Specialist to oversee operations of a newly established laboratory. The primary responsibilities of the Medical Research Specialist will be to help to achieve research goals for defined projects in regular consultation with the Principal Investigator. The person in this position will design and spearhead specific projects, including the selection of appropriate methods, the application of rigorous techniques and documentation, and the organization of the results in the preparation of scientific publications or grant proposals following the highest ethical standards. Excellence in standard laboratory techniques (cell culture, DNA and protein electrophoresis, immunoblotting, immunofluorescence, immunohistochemistry, flow cytometry, etc.) and a strong work ethic are expected. In addition, this person will manage the day-to-day operations of the laboratory, including overseeing trainees and staff, ordering necessary supplies/reagents, and management of laboratory finances.
