Job Summary:
The Transplant Institute and the Department of Medicine at Tulane University are now accepting applications for a transplant hepatologist.Qualified Candidates:
- Must be board certified/eligible in transplant hepatology and gastroenterology
- Eligible for an unrestricted Louisiana medical license
- Faculty rank will be commensurate with qualifications and experience, in the non-tenure clinical educator track
- Successful candidates will be expected to serve as an attending on hepatology and liver transplant services and possess excellent teaching and clinical skills
- Teaching responsibilities may include teaching Tulane medical students, residents and fellows
- Clinical responsibilities may include clinical care that specializes in hepatology and liver transplantation and may be required to provide these services at the Tulane Medical Center, University Medical Center of New Orleans and Lakeview Regional Medical Center
- Research or scholarship responsibilities may include working in the field of hepatology and liver transplantation
- The applicant will join a highly interactive multidisciplinary environment with expanding liver transplantation program and will become one of integral teaching members of gastroenterology fellowship
