Training Program Coordinator
The State Hygienic Laboratory (SHL) is seeking a Training Supervisor to serve as the primary training and education coordinator. The Training Supervisor will be the point of contact for all training and education needs, identify training needs, design and oversee the delivery of training to appropriate staff and external partners, and represent SHL at Association of Public Health Laboratories (APHL) with a team of training and education coordinators.
Required Qualifications:
- 1-3 years experience managing educational/instructional programs, including research projects, extra-curricular activities, and/or academic planning.
- 1-3 years supervisory experience of staff in a professional setting.
- Demonstrate the ability to review and use process improvement tools and techniques and ability to understand, monitor, update, or enhance existing business or work processes.
- Demonstrated experience with meeting/event coordination, and project management.
- Demonstrate the ability to meet or exceed customer service needs and expectations and provide excellent service in a direct or indirect manner.
- Must have the experience and ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
- Communicating for Effective Relationships: Demonstrates a working proficiency inability to work with a variety of individuals and groups in a constructive and collaborate manner, including strong writing, public speaking and presentation skills.
- Working knowledge of Windows and MS Office, including experience with web conferencing solutions such as Zoom, Teams, Skype for Business.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Education, Training, Outreach, or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Familiarity with the State Hygienic Laboratory, or Associate of Public Health Laboratories, or other Public Health laboratory setting.
- Familiarity with state and federal policies or regulations in a clinical laboratory, or public health laboratory setting.
