Senior Application Developer-VerityStream – Remote Eligible ( / in Iowa)

Position Summary:
University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics department of Health Care Information Systems is seeking a Senior Application Developer to provide technical leadership for the development/configuration and on-going support of VerityStream, a vendor application for provider on-boarding. Work closely with Project Manager and vendor implementation team. Translate user requirements into programmatic configuration. Support end-users and maintain and update VerityStream as needed.
Position Responsibilities:
- Customize and maintain VerityStream, the enterprise Provider On-boarding solution.
- Troubleshoot operational issues, implement appropriate solutions, and develop necessary documentation.
- Manage change control and production updates.
- Monitor and administer VerityStream access security.
- Monitor system usage.
- Evaluate and implement user requested updates.
Health Care Information Systems (HCIS): Provides and supports information and communication systems and technology that facilitate quality patient care, progressive medical education, and innovative research.
HCIS services University of Iowa Health Care by providing comprehensive, high-level support for patient care delivery, internal and external communication, technology innovation, medical education, and research. Creating and maintaining a positive, productive, and rewarding environment for information technology and communication staff
Salary: $65,000 to commensurate – Paygrade 5B

Position Qualifications:
Education Required:
Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Engineering or MIS or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Required Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5-7 years of related experience, supporting a vendor application.
- Windows 10 experience with a full command of Microsoft Office Tools
- Working experience with technical project management and documentation
- Experience with non-technical users to define system requirements and define business needs
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated job-related experience and/or commitment to diversity in the work/academic environment
Desirable Qualifications:
- Experience with Verity Stream or other like provider on-boarding system
- SQL / Access Database Experience
