Human Resources Manager & Human Resources Generalist Opportunities:
HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGER
An immediate, newly-created vacancy – reporting to the Director of Human
Resources – within a well-established, 250 employee, service organization in
Macon, Georgia. This HR Manager will partner with the Director to execute
integrated HR programs that align with the organization’s strategic goals
Responsibilities:
In leading three direct report HR professionals, will manage all aspects of the
organization’s HR function to include the:
Talent acquisition process - with an emphasis on leadership, managerial &
professional openings
Compensation administration program [Korn Ferry Hay] - including
coordinating studies to ensure the organization’s competitiveness
Performance management & succession planning programs – creating a
coaching environment to assist employees in enhancing their performance &
advancing
Learning, development & on-boarding programs – with an emphasis on
management & leadership development
Employee benefit administration [self-insured with a TPA processing],
retirement & wellness programs – including evaluating existing benefit
contracts, coordinating studies & making recommendations to ensure the
organization’s competitiveness
Employee relations administration [non-union] - including conducting
investigations, overseeing disciplinary meetings & resolving grievances
Payroll administration [ADP] – in coordination with the Accounting dept.
Recommending additions & enhancements to the existing HR programs
Knowledge, Education & Competency Requirements:
Knowledge of state & federal employment laws & regulations
Bachelor’s degree - Human Resources, Business Administration or related
field
Familiarity with ADP or similar payroll system
Superior written/oral communication, interpersonal & negotiation skills
Word, Excel & PowerPoint proficiency
Experience & Certification Preferences:
7 years of human resource experience – service or manufacturing industry
PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP
Compensation & Benefit Package:
Up to $82,000 starting base salary - dependent upon experience

HUMAN RESOURCES GENERALIST
An immediate vacancy – reporting to the Manager of Human Resources – the HR
Generalist will work with the HR team in supporting all facets of human resources
Responsibilities:
Talent acquisition process - maintaining the website & job descriptions,
applicant scheduling, screening, testing & conducting background checks
Employee benefit administration [self-insured with a TPA processing],
retirement & wellness programs – updating benefits data in HRIS, assisting
in the benefits renewal process, preparing pension calculation information
for actuary & helping with wellness communication & events
Payroll administration [ADP] in coordination with the Accounting dept. -
reviewing deductions for taxes, retirement, deferred compensation &
processing garnishments
Compensation administration program [Korn Ferry Hay] - assisting with
studies to ensure the organization’s competitiveness
Learning, development & on-boarding programs – conducting new hire
orientations & preparing materials & presentations for employee educational
meetings
Employee relations administration [non-union] – counseling with managers
regarding policy inquiries & conducting exit interviews
Recommending additions & enhancements to the existing HR programs
Experience, Knowledge & Competency Requirements:
Three to five years of experience – service or manufacturing industry
Knowledge of ADP or similar payroll system
Knowledge of state & federal employment laws & regulations
Superior written & oral communications skills
Ability to collaborate with all levels of employees
Word, Excel & PowerPoint proficiency
Education & Certification Preferences:
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree
PHR/SHRM-CP certification
Compensation & Benefit Package:
Up to $57,000 starting base salary - dependent upon experience
