The Bankers Bank, a leading correspondent bank headquartered in Oklahoma City, with customer banks throughout Oklahoma, Texas, and New Mexico, is seeking a credit analyst for our loans department.
Essential duties include:
- Preparing detailed credit memos and presenting them to the EVP/CLO, President/CEO, and the loan committee.
- Aids in building relationships with banks and borrowers with customer calls, attending banking events., etc.
- Assists CLO with compliance, policy & procedures, and loan policy.
- Evaluated the degree of risk of loans including borrowers' credit data and financial statements/
- Prepares recommendations for the bank's lending committees regarding loan structures and provides supporting documentation.
- Underwrites loans in the form of technical and analytical responsibilities, gathering, spreading, and analyzing financial information, industry information, loan application preparation, recommendation of loan structure, monitoring of covenant compliance, and review of terms.
- Participates in loan committee.
- Performs annual reviews of established credits, loan covenant tracking, and financial trend analysis.
Requirements include:
- Very strong accounting aptitude and experience.
- Solid problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to interface with diverse personalities.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commission, proportions, percentages.
- Ability to apply complex concepts of financial analysis.
- Ability to apply common sense and understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Accuracy driven and detail-oriented
- Proficiency in Microsoft products with an emphasis on Excel.
- Lending background and familiarity with tracking software, core director software, and/or loan document software is a plus.
Minimum Education:
- Four-year related college degree or university program certification, or the equivalent in education with experience.
