Business Communication Full-Time Faculty Position Opening at Assistant Teaching Professor Level in Teaching Track
Primary professional responsibilities: Teaching in Carnegie Mellon University's Tepper School of Business Masters and Undergraduate programs and service to the Tepper Business School and the wider Carnegie Mellon University community. Teaching will focus on business and management communications in both written and oral practices. Full-Time Teaching Track faculty members teach a minimum of 12 units per year, equivalent to six semester-long courses. The teaching track at Carnegie Mellon University is a career track and is not a temporary or adjunct teaching track.
Starting date: Fall of Academic Year 2022-2023.
Salary: Commensurate with academic preparation and professional experience.
Academic Qualifications:
PhD in business communications or related discipline (e.g., English, Rhetoric, Communication Studies) with at least 3 years of teaching experience. The successful candidate will be expected to work cooperatively with faculty and staff in the school and communicate and work effectively with a diverse campus community. Candidates must demonstrate a potential for and commitment to teaching excellence. Candidates with prior business communications teaching, additional business experience, and/or coursework at the MBA level are preferred.
