General Counsel
We are a biotechnology-focused venture capital firm seeking a General Counsel to lead legal and operational aspects of our investments in lifesaving medicines.
Location: Bentonville, Arkansas
Responsibilities
- Lead a commercially oriented legal and operational function characterized by speed and accuracy
- Evaluate and advise on deal structures and key investment terms
- Negotiate investment and commercial agreements—such as SPAs, IRAs, Note Purchase Agreements, NDAs, Employment Agreements, and a variety of commercial contracts—in collaboration with external counsel
- Serve as Chief Compliance Officer, and manage the firm’s regulatory and compliance program in collaboration with our external compliance advisor
- Manage external providers of operational services—such as our Fund Administrator, tax and audit advisors, and HR services provider—working closely with our Managing Partner and Chief of Staff
About You
You are passionate about building new organizations and doing meaningful work as part of a great team.
You have a JD and significant experience providing legal advice to venture capital firms.
We are long-term investors in engineering biology to treat—or better, cure—human disease.
We invest in groundbreaking medicines across disease area, financing stage, and geography, with a focus on programs in, or about to enter, human trials.
We are curious, rigorous, collaborative, and passionate about our work; we are also long-term investors in our team.
