Health Center Director
Sun River Health provides the highest quality of comprehensive primary, preventative and behavioral health services to all who see it, regardless of insurance status and ability to pay, especially for the underserved and vulnerable. Sun River Health is a Federally Qualified, Non-Profit Health Center serving communities in Suffolk, Rockland, Orange, Dutchess, Ulster, Sullivan, Columbia and Westchester County. Sun River Health is currently seeking a full-time Health Center Director to support our Amenia, Dover Plains, and Hudson locations.
The Health Center Director coordinates all activities and supervises all staff at the assigned Hudson River HealthCare sites under the general supervision of the regional Vice President of Operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities of a Health Center Director:
- Participates in the development and monitoring of site budgets and expenditures.
- Monitors billing and collections in conjunction with Billing Department staff.
- Participates in hiring, training, supervision, and evaluation of administrative, clinical, and support staff at the site(s) and ensures appropriate staffing at the site(s).
- Provides operational oversight for all services at the site(s), including, coordination of provider schedules and hours of operation.
- Ensures adherence to performance standards and regulatory guidelines.
- Serves as liaison between central administration and practice site(s).
- Monitors monthly statistics and participates in the development and design of strategies to address areas in need of improvement.
- Works in collaboration with Site Medical Director, Site Dental Director, Nurse Manager, and Operation Manager to address clinical issues.
- Serves on Regional Quality Improvement Committee and facilitates the implementation of Quality Improvement projects at the site(s).
- Represents Sun River Health at meetings in the county(ies) in which the Health Centers are located.
- Minimum Education Requirement: Bachelor’s Degree
- Preferred Education Requirement: Master’s Degree in Public Health or Health Administration
- Minimum Related Work Experience: 5-8 years
