Digital Strategist
Triple-Nine Digital, a strong and growing division of The Spokesman-Review is seeking a Digital Strategist. The Digital Strategist (DS) position reports to the Digital Operations Director and will lead Triple-Nine Digital’s digital sales efforts. The DS is responsible for client digital marketing strategies, driving both results for the client as well as Triple-Nine Digital’s revenue growth. This is a work-at-home position but must live in the Spokane/North Idaho area. Starting pay is $35,110.40/Annual base pay + commissions. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- The primary goal for the DS is to generate and maintain digital revenue.
- Work directly with customers, or in partnership with The Spokesman-Review Sales Executive, to provide a digital strategy utilizing agency services that align with their marketing goals.
- Provide digital performance results and customized digital proposals for customer and/or sales partners and explain details as needed
- Develop strong, trusting relationships between clients and agency partners, providing leadership and support during strategy, ideation, and execution o Provide friendly, professional customer service before, during and after product/campaign completion and build a strong rapport with agency partners.
- Maintain advanced knowledge and expertise of all Triple-Nine Digital products and services
- Stay informed of new and trending digital initiatives in the industry. o Be a champion for digital marketing throughout The Spokesman-Review, Triple-Nine Digital and the community – sharing knowledge formally and informally (via blog, email, social media, speaking, etc.), and otherwise positively influencing the digital culture of The Spokesman-Review and Triple-Nine Digital.
- Manage overall project/campaign scope to adhere to timeline and budget
- Manage customer and vendor deliverables to include timeline, functionality, results and cost o Manage customer expectations throughout project/campaign workflow and address issues, delays, questions, or concerns in a timely and professional manner
- Collaborate with Digital Marketing Coordinator to ensure digital projects/campaigns are accurately entered into applicable systems
- Verify all display and targeting campaigns are running as expected o Provide project/campaign performance reporting and analytics to customers
- Other duties as assigned
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Previous experience in digital sales, strategy and marketing a plus.
- Direct experience with marketing and revenue generation a necessity.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail in an environment that requires regular evaluation, negotiation of priorities, and the ability to achieve revenue goals.
- Strong customer service with interpersonal and communication skills required – the ability to interact with many different people, internally and externally.
- Ability to create long lasting client relationships built on trust & success.
- Teachable, and a constant learner – reads industry blogs, books, etc., with the desire to dive in, to learn and shape their role and digital knowledge.
- Advanced computer skills (tested).
- Ability to work under pressure and with limited direction, at peak performance.
- Command of grammar and language sufficient to create professional documents.
- Strong team player with a positive attitude.
- Experience and/or knowledge of news/media industry advertising a plus.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Associates Degree or 2 years of higher education, plus 1-2 years of related work experience in a marketing/brand management environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
COMPUTER SKILLS
Intermediate to advanced level using Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
