Asset Management Associate
Sol Systems is seeking an experienced candidate to join as an Asset Management Associate that will support the Asset Management Group's work on behalf of its third-party institutional investor clients. The Asset Management Group helps Sol's clients manage their solar investments through transaction monitoring, financial analysis and advisory services. The Group also supports Sol strategic vision by monitoring the company's direct investments, managing financial exposure from existing contracts and advising the company on strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
- Leading the favorable the favorable resolution of operational issues and contractual disputes and communicating complex technical or financial issues to investors and other stakeholders
- Maintaining project financial models and providing analysis on fund performance.
- Investigating sources of underperformance of utility and distributed generation solar assets using remote data acquisition systems and providing guidance to stakeholders
- Performing credit analysis on utility, financial, and solar developer counterparties
- Designing and maintaining investor reporting utilizing solar data systems, partner reports, and advanced Microsoft office tools.
- Providing regular financial updates to investors on project performance and financial returns
- Participating in regular meetings with investors and counterparties
- Supporting other Asset Management Group functions as needed.
A successful candidate will possess the following skills and attributes:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in finance, economics or business or related field is required.
- 3+ years relevant solar project finance or asset management experience, with familiarity of the solar asset class and solar investments required.
- Experience with tax equity transactions, including the partnership flip and inverted lease, strongly preferred
- Excellent financial modeling skills
- Strong willingness and aptitude at communicating creative ideas, challenges, solutions, and mistakes without hesitation
- Exceptional attention to detail

Location & Hours: This is a full-time role and will be based in our Washington, DC office.
Commitment & Compensation: Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
