SUMMARY OF ROLE:
In collaboration with the U.S. Compliance team, the Compliance Manager will support department and cross-functional operations for a wide range of healthcare compliance areas in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Specific Responsibilities:
Compliance Policies and Processes
- Develop, update and implement an annual plan for healthcare compliance policies, procedures, training, and communications that takes into account input from the Commercial, Medical, R&D, and Market Access teams and other key stakeholders.
- Draft healthcare compliance policies, procedures, ways of working, and other documents in partnership with applicable stakeholders.
- Evolve current processes related to healthcare compliance document management.
- Develop internal Compliance team procedures to optimize business continuity and balance.
Training
- Develop and conduct training for business partners on healthcare compliance topics in accordance with the annual training plan
- Focus areas for training include an overview of health care compliance laws, regulations, and codes and training on internal compliance processes.
Aggregate Spend and Transparency Reporting
- Play a central role in transparency program governance and operations
- Work closely with internal and external partners to collect and manage data
- Review various data sets from multiple sources for quality and consistency
- Ensure transparency reports are completed accurately and on time
Monitoring and Auditing
- Support the execution of the Compliance auditing and monitoring program
- Review live and transactional activities for adherence to internal policies
Risk Management
- Review stakeholder activities through compliance review processes
- Collaborate with business partners to structure activities compliantly and provide guidance on compliance requirements
- Support with third party compliance due diligence activities
Other duties as required or directed by the Manager
Skills and Education:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or equivalent experience
- 8 years of professional experience
- Experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech or healthcare industry strongly preferred
Desirable:
- Prefer Boston-area-based. Open to remote location with willingness to travel to Boston and other locations on an as-needed basis.
