Senior Estimator/Estimator
RX Lodge is seeking a Senior Estimator/Project Manager to support opportunities in Northern California and, at times, throughout the western region of the U.S. In this role, you will be part of a project team that supports clients' needs for wetlands restoration and development, remediation construction and general heavy civil and marine projects. You will team with company principals, project managers, quality-assurance managers, engineers and field safety personnel to successfully bid and execute restoration, remediation or other civil/marine projects. You should be able to evaluate bid specifications, drawings, reports and project conditions to develop and execute project estimates for self-performed work and follow-up with subcontractors to ensure that sub-bids are received timely. In addition, you will work with Project Management teams to follow-up on bids to successfully award and execute the project.
You will oversee contractors in the field for the safe implementation of fieldwork and work with company principals or the designated PM to track budget, expenses and define new scopes of work. Critical for success are the abilities to produce highly accurate work in a timely manner, maintain strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Communication skills, both oral and written, are a must.
Construction projects include USACE, Public Agencies, Private Utilities and other civil works, site development/restoration, earthwork operations, remedial treatment systems, hazardous waste management and offsite disposal, industrial water and wastewater treatment systems, air treatment or monitoring systems as required.

- Requirements
BS Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related degree with 5 or more years of experience in construction or consulting preferred. Other certifications and trainings will be considered in lieu of a degree. - Experience with wetlands restoration, remediation construction sites and preparation of project bids and estimates for related scope requirements. Develop and review work plans and general report writing.
- OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER training required or will be provided and OSHA 30-hour Construction and 8-hour supervisor a plus.
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) is a plus.
- Ability to track project costs, track project transmittals/submittals and review invoices. Prior heavy civil/marine construction and remediation cost estimating experience is a must.
Responsibilities
Estimating, bidding, planning and construction of wetlands, remediation and other heavy civil/marine projects, including developing and reviewing project bids and cost estimates, attending pre-construction interviews, managing specific pre-construction tasks, site management and client relations.
- Managing and communicating extensively with RX LODGE principals to drive bid schedules, bid and award, field execution, client communications to meet and exceed RX LODGE's and client expectations around safety, work quality and general performance.
- Providing construction management support that may include construction quality assurance, evaluating site construction and restoration, laying out earthwork operation final conditions, evaluating remedial systems and supporting related projects as required.
- Planning and scheduling on-site full- and part-time staff, evaluate subcontractor performance and schedules and assisting the RX LODGE principals with negotiating and resolving change order requests.
- Support RX LODGE Project Manager's effort to identify and track upcoming project opportunities, meet with clients to identify upcoming work and assist in business development activities, including preparation of proposals, interviews and project contracting.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Project tools.
- Ability to provide excellent client service and communication; detailed project deliverables; excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Work primarily in California but willingness to travel throughout the western region of the United States.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
