The Executive Director of RiverStone Health Foundation is responsible for the overall success of the Foundation in achieving its strategic fund raising and friend raising goals. The work is performed indirectly under the supervision and direction of the RiverStone Health Foundation Board while maintaining a direct relationship with the President & CEO. Considerable leeway is granted for the exercise of independent judgment and initiative. Supervision may be exercised over departmental support personnel. The nature of the work performed requires that an employee in this position establish and maintain effective working relationships with members of the RiverStone Health Foundation Board, President & CEO of RiverStone Health, employees of RiverStone Health, all media sources, other agencies, and a diverse population within the local community. The principal duties of this position shall be performed in a general office and at various locations in the community.

Reports To: President & CEO of RiverStone Health, with strong working relationship to RiverStone Health Foundation Board of Directors

FLSA Status: Exempt, Full Time

Annual Salary: $ 80,000.00 to $ 115,000.00

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Serve as Executive Director of RiverStone Health Foundation.
  2. In collaboration with RiverStone Health Foundation Board and RiverStone Health's CEO, design, establish and maintain an organizational structure of RiverStone Health Foundation.
  3. Oversee all facets of the daily operations of RiverStone Health Foundation ensuring compliance with RiverStone Health Foundation, state and federal laws, policies and regulations.
  4. Designs, implements and leads a strategically focused, multi-faceted development program in support of RiverStone Health's identified program needs.
  5. Complete all tasks associated with program leadership within RiverStone Health's operations (including for example but not limited to budgeting / financial; management, staff management and development including hiring, training, disciplining, and evaluating staff, etc.)
  6. Provide staff leadership to RiverStone Health Foundation's Board and its working committees.
  7. Identify prospects for solicitation and provide stewardship activities to individuals, corporations, foundations and other entities in support of planned giving, capital needs and endowments.
  8. Research and solicit grants to support RiverStone Health Foundation grant projects and programs;
  9. Oversee RiverStone Health Foundation grants administration and develop and submit grant and program budgets.
  10. Manage RiverStone Health Foundation fiscal operations and adjust expenditures to ensure adequate cash flow.
  11. Addresses concerns or questions relating to RiverStone Health Foundation operations and take appropriate measures to ensure an expedient resolution;
  12. Represent RiverStone Health Foundation before RiverStone Health administrators and other professionals as necessary.
  13. Ensure compliance with regulations, including adjusting policies and procedures to comply with changes in regulations.
  14. Develop and update business plans for RiverStone Health Foundation.
  15. Keep RiverStone Health Foundation Board, RiverStone Health CEO and designated others accurately informed concerning work progress, including present and potential work problems and suggestions for new or improved ways of addressing such problems.
  16. Serve on a variety of committees; attends meetings, conferences, workshops, and training sessions; and reviews publications and audiovisual materials to become and remain current on principles, practices, and new developments in assigned work areas.
  17. Respond to citizens' questions and comments in a courteous, effective and timely manner.
  18. Communicate and coordinate regularly with appropriate others to maximize the effectiveness and efficiency of RiverStone Health Foundation's operations and activities.
  19. Perform other directly related duties consistent with the role and function of the classification.
  20. Effectively manage the Foundation staff to produce positive results in the community and for the organization.
  21. Proactively work to position the board to make effective and efficient decisions that best serve the needs of RiverStone Health.

QUALIFICATIONS to perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  1. Bachelor's Degree in a related field; and
  2. At least 5 years of experience in a field directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified; or
  3. Any combination of experience and training which provides the equivalent scope of knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to perform the work.
  4. A successful track record of establishing and meeting strategic fund raising and development goals.
  5. Association for Healthcare Philanthropy (AHP) membership preferred.
  6. Demonstrated skills and ability to develop and direct high-level gift and grant discussions

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

  1. Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) preferred
  2. Association for Healthcare Philanthropy (AHP) membership preferred.
