Chief Information Officer
The Chief Information Officer, under the direction of the CEO, will have a "hands-on" leadership role to assure the successful execution of the company's technology roadmap and operations.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Evaluate overall Information Technology posture and recommend and implement changes/enhancements to support efficient and effective operation by collaborating with the appropriate departments to assess and recommend technologies that support company organizational needs.
Provide IT leadership for merger and acquisition activities.
Oversee, and where necessary enhances, enterprise-wide disaster recovery and business continuity plan.
Oversee a governance program that meets federal and state requirements for client and employee information privacy.
Assesses new technologies and determine if they would be of beneficial use to the company.
Oversee and improve IT operations, as measured by a,) infrastructure uptime, b) spend, c) customer/ client satisfaction, and d) innovation.
Provide strategic leadership to the organization with regard to technology and the enablement of major business processes and initiatives
Lead the decisions regarding networks, systems expansions, upgrades and validation of computer hardware and software ensuring the most effective use of the equipment and human resources.
Develop strategic plans for security, help desk and system administration teams within the IT organization.
Protect confidential information and maintain the availability and integrity of data. Develop and structure the organization to ensure technical risk is identified and managed in a timely manner. Oversee the development and standardization of processes and procedures relating to IT Security risk across the organization. Ensure appropriate security metrics on a continual basis.
Prioritize, assign and manage department activities and projects in accordance with the Operations department's goals and objectives. Adjust hours of work, priorities and staff assignments to ensure efficient operation, based on workload.
Identify the scope of existing processes and proposes improvements and new processes as needed. Oversee the inventory of process metrics including overall release velocity, change effectiveness, vendor scorecards, and team performance metrics.
Manage projects and processes across teams and departments to ensure on-time completion of efforts, with quality. Oversee the management of the ongoing maintenance prioritization and monitoring. Responsible for planning, organizing, monitoring, and managing special technology projects through completion.
Develop and foster a team atmosphere that exhibits teamwork within the department and with other departments.
Achieve operational excellence through a combination of standardization, simplification, and the use of best industry practices.
Provide leadership regarding networks, system expansions, upgrades, and validation of software and hardware ensuring the most effective use of equipment and human resources.
Provide insight into technical designs to ensure solutions developed are consistent with strategic business plans.
Plan capacity requirements and recommend procurement requirements for growth and fault tolerance including business continuity and disaster recovery
Oversee the management of vendor relationships including managed service providers
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's Degree in Related Field
8+ years of experience managing a 24/7 IT operation
Knowledge of Security Management including security tools and processes supporting a regulated and controlled IT environment. Solid IT and Security skills supporting a large-scale IT ecosystem. Strong knowledge of industry trends and current and emerging security risks.
Proven leadership skills in IT positions with a progressive increase in responsibility preferably in high-growth environments
Demonstrated problem-solving and diagnostic skills
Experience in process and service level improvement methods
Ability to communicate effectively with a technical and non-technical audience
Experience building long term infrastructure plans and managing the related budgetary process
Ability to meet and set short term and long-term objectives for self and assigned team
Ability to adapt to changing conditions and plans with well-reasoned decisions and minimal supervision.
Ability to travel in order to support several locations outside of AZ
