Placer County Water Agency encompasses the entire, 1,500-square-mile boundary of Placer County, ranging from the rim of the Sacramento Valley on the west to the Sierra Nevada and Lake Tahoe on the east.  The Agency is headquartered in Auburn and carries out a broad range of responsibilities including water resource planning and management, retail and wholesale supply of irrigation water and drinking water, production of hydroelectric power and watershed stewardship across Placer County.  We are seeking talented candidates to join our team for the position of:

 

PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT SERVICES MANAGER

$121,268 - $154,795 annually, DOQ, plus excellent benefits

 

PCWA is seeking an energetic individual to organize, direct and supervise professional and technical work related to planning and development support of the Agency’s water system.  This position will manage a staff of engineers, technicians and other professional disciplines to provide support for future development, water supply and long-range infrastructure planning, and grant and consolidation opportunities.  Our ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a closely related field, plus five years of increasingly responsible professional engineering experience.  Lead or supervisory experience is desirable.  Registration as a Professional Engineer in California is required.  Public sector experience and/or experience at a water or electric utility is highly desirable.  Visit our website for detailed recruitment information and to complete the on-line application: www.pcwa.net.
