Electric T&D Supervisor
Under the general direction of the Delivery Operations Manager, coordinates construction, operation and maintenance of electric distribution and transmission facilities ensuring both worker and public safety. Acts as company liaison in emergency situations making complex decisions in sometimes life threatening cases and frequently handles delicate issues with the general public regarding personal injury or property damage. Requires a high level of judgment, analytic ability, creativity and verbal and written communication skills. Assist in budgeting and material acquisitions.
Qualifications/Experience
- Associates Degree or up to 24 months of education or training beyond the high school level in Electrical Engineering and Electronics or related technical field. Some course work in Business Management also needed.
- Thorough knowledge and familiarity with principles and practices of electric power line construction, traffic signals, maintenance, and electric metering principles.
- Ability to operate heavy equipment such as trucks, tractors, trenchers, derricks, bucket trucks and related machinery.
- Able to make informed immediate decisions in emergency or highly stressful situations.
- Valid driver's license and CDL required.
- Four to six years electrical transmission line experience and electronic experience with two to four years in a supervisory capacity.
- Two years of related electrical equipment operation.
