Matrix Master
Apply techniques from multichannel signal processing and linear algebra to determine models of complex acoustic radiation sources and subsequently predict their effects. The models are defined in the frequency domain and are typified by nonnegative, complex Hermitian matrices. The sources change over time and part of the problem is to use auxiliary information to correlate particular states with matrices. The software development is C++, especially the Eigen package. The problem/environment is a superset of the beamforming for which the company is known.
Intuit, develop, and validate models. This includes producing and processing simulated data as well as formulating and supporting experimental work. Produce reports, some for company use and some for publication. This is intended to support early careers for both academic and industrial settings.
Frequent, daily, collaboration with the employer is required, either in-person or virtually.
US Citizen or lawful permanent resident
Extensive education or experience in aeroacoustics, EE, physics or applied mathematics with emphasis appropriate to the job description
