Information Technology Manager
General Summary: This position will oversee the overall operation and auditing of the IT program at Oil City Iron Works, Inc. He/she must be able to make decisions relating to the network structure and future needs of Oil City Iron Works, Inc. based on their technical knowledge, input from both in house or contract IT engineers and techs, as well as the principles, mission and any budgetary restraints of Oil City Iron Works, Inc. and its owners/upper management. Knowledge and experience should be at a level that will make him/her both a technical and policy resource to the IT Department at OCIW. This is not a remote work position.
Requirements:
* Serve as the primary person responsible for company ERP application (B & L Information Systems Odyssey). This includes the ongoing support of implemented modules as well as leading the initiatives to install new modules and software enhancements.
* Work with all departments to improve inventory accuracy through data analysis and improve data collection efforts.
* Perform, or assign and supervise to ensure the required responsibilities of the IT Dept are met:
o Supervise preventive and corrective maintenance on computers, printers, and other related equipment.
o Supervise and perform setup and connection of network servers and clients.
o Be able to screen problems and assist technicians in "Help Desk" capacity.
o Assist in or oversee administration of email server users, spam, virus detection, and cybersecurity.
o Oversee maintenance/support of audio visual and conferencing.
o Train staff in use of Microsoft based products and essential databases.
o Assist in training of the IT Techs.
o Supervise/perform tracking of hardware, software information, serial numbers, etc.
o Supervise uploading data to website, and in performing other weekly data transfers as needed.
o Oversee the company websites and the e-commerce platform.
* Review any existing IT associates and technicians in the quality and quantity of work and be able to help them to identify and achieve their goals.
* Oversee the proper maintenance of Active Directory, DHCP, DNS.
* Maintain and enforce file and folder security, as well as HIPAA requirements.
* Perform/supervise creation and maintenance of documents/reports/databases in Odyssey and MS Office suite environments.
* Perform/supervise maintain/troubleshoot wireless systems for computers and phones.
* Anticipate and assess computer/communications needs, communicating them clearly and effectively to both management, customers (other staff), and vendors.
* Participation in strategic planning.
* Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information securely and responsibly.
* Oversee/maintain backup and disaster recovery policies.
* Manage costs and financial outlay of the companies' software, hardware, and personnel needs.
* Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Education, Experience, and Skill Requirements:
* Fulfill all requirements of the IT Manager:
o At least 5 years' experience in server/networking principles. (Foundry IT environment is preferred.)
o Well versed with Microsoft Windows Operating Systems, Adobe, and MSOffice products.
o Understanding of relational databases.
o Willing to work in the foundry environment.
o Ability to work with and communicate with people in a service capacity.
o Ability to follow instructions, written and oral.
* Familiar with and experience in NIST cybersecurity standards.
* Education/Experience - At least one of the following: BS Degree/Technical School specializing in Information Technology/A+ Cert. Also, a networking Certification, or at least 5 years of experience at the IT Engineering level.
* Experience with ERP application administration and deployment.
* Ability to analyze and interpret data from multiple sources and create reports and queries.
* Consistently meets set goals and complete projects.
* Be recognized by management/peers as a leader and one who supports the goals and objectives of Oil City Iron Works, Inc.
* Understanding of Windows Server administration of Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, file and folder security, and Oil City Iron Works, INC ERP/MRP, Financial and HR Software.
* Understanding of wireless systems for computers and phones.
* Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with both management, customers (other staff), and vendors.
* Be able to supervise and instruct IT Technicians in preparation for their assigned duties and toward promotion.
