Data Analyst/Scientist

ODCA is an independent agency that supports the Council of the District of Columbia by monitoring, assessing, and reporting on government operations through performance-based audits and evaluation to promote efficiency, accountability, and transparency. ODCA does not audit taxes. The Data Analyst/Scientist will leverage administrative data sets across multiple topics aligned to current audit work, such as education, criminal justice, housing, and employment to quantitatively evaluate program effectiveness. The Data Analyst/Scientist is responsible for understanding and using these data to evaluate the impact and effectiveness of public investments in areas being audited. The Data Analyst/Scientist will also be responsible for enhancing ODCA's efforts to incorporate impact evaluations into audit work processes.
Educational Requirements:
The incumbents of these positions will possess a Master's degree from an accredited college or university in sociology, political science, statistics, economics, mathematics, or other social science field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
