This position is responsible for enhancing the University’s image by designing University-wide branding and marketing materials for all platforms and channels, including print, digital, TV commercials, online videos and social media. This position will also coordinate and provide support for the development of an integrated marketing plan involving marketing strategy, advertising, publicity, and marketing research and associated marketing collateral. Serve as a central University marketing contact with internal and external constituencies to ensure a consistent brand message and identity. Keep current with new marketing, advertising and graphic design trends and methods, as well as consumer information to guide programmatic marketing decisions.
Required Qualifications:
Considerable knowledge of graphic design software, including Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign. Exceptional graphic design skills. Working knowledge of branding, marketing and communication tactics and strategies. Working knowledge of advertising mediums, tactics, and operations. Exceptional oral and written communications skills. Demonstrated skill in using multimedia tools such as Adobe Creative Suite and PowerPoint to develop advertising or marketing campaigns, presentations, and/or copywriting. Demonstrated skill in working effectively in a team setting to achieve goals. Demonstrated ability to implement policies and procedures effectively within a decentralized setting. Demonstrated ability to cultivate and maintain effective relationships with University departments, faculty, staff, and students and outside vendors, agencies and contacts. Demonstrated ability to use the web, news media and social networking sites for marketing purposes. Considerable professional experience in multimedia design, copywriting and development of creative content for marketing and advertising campaigns. Considerable experience with HTML 5 ad development. Considerable experience with branding, marketing and communications in a professional setting.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Marketing, Advertising, Communications, Business Administration or other related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Prior experience in higher education marketing.
