Summary/Objective - The R&D technician is responsible for testing materials and products for the purpose of defining and meeting regulatory and quality standards as requested, including but not limit to in-house testing, 3rd party tests, sample trials, etc.
Essential Functions
- Collect and test product samples from various production stages as requested.
- Record inspection or test data, such as weights, temperatures, grades, or moisture content, and quantities inspected or graded. Prepare test data for review and analysis using Microsoft Excel.
- Assist in analyzing test data to look for quality trends and potential improvement areas.
- Measure dimensions of products to verify conformance to specifications, using measuring instruments such as rulers, calipers, gauges, or micrometers as requested.
- Read datasheets, manuals, or other materials to determine specifications, inspection and testing procedures, adjustment methods, certification processes, formulas, or measuring instruments required.
- Assist in cleaning, maintaining, calibrating, or repairing measuring instruments or test equipment, such as dial indicators, fixed gauges, or height gauges.
- Notify supervisors or other personnel of production problems.
- Perform R&D based sample trials & tests as requested.
- Write test or inspection reports describing results, recommendations, or needed repairs.

- Must be able to effectively communicate with every caliber of employee
- Must be able to effectively communicate in English (oral, verbal, and read/write); Bi-lingual in Mandarin is beneficial but not required.

Required Education and Experience
Degree or equivalent working experience required for this position
