Corporate Talent Acquisition Specialist
BASIC PURPOSE: Proactively engage with applicants and hiring teams throughout recruiting life cycle to find the best talent for the organization. Drive talent acquisition strategies that align with business needs.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Partner with hiring managers to build effective recruiting strategies with the ability to manage customer/partner expectations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners such as Human Resources Information Systems, Talent Management, Compensation and Total Rewards.
- Post job openings on our applicant tracking system as well as all other media resources including on-line employment job boards, social media, etc.
- Screen and source both active and passive candidates in person, phone and/or virtually to include behavioral based interviews from entry level to high level positions.
- Ensure an excellent candidate experience through prompt follow up and communication with candidates throughout the candidate's life cycle from initial contact to start date.
- Arrange interviews between hiring managers and candidates, including coordinating travel for out of state candidates.
- Work with the compensation team in developing salary job offers. Once confirmed, extend and negotiate salary job offers to selected candidates.
- Administer background check and new hire paperwork process such as employment verification/education verification, reference checks and pre-employment drug tests.
- Represent NCLH as an employer of choice at career fairs, university events and networking functions.
- Additional duties and special projects as assigned
EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field of study; or any equivalent combination of relevant background and work experience.
EXPERIENCE: 2 - 4 years work experience recruiting in a medium to large organization. Experience must include using an applicant tracking system such as PeopleSoft and conducting behaviorally-based interviews. Experience working in both external recruiting agency and corporate human resources department preferred.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS: Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook software. Demonstrated knowledge in using an applicant tracking system such as PeopleSoft. Good knowledge across Human Resources disciplines and applicable Federal, State and local laws pertaining to employment, recruitment and Human Resource management. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, to provide professional and timely customer service to Human Resources' internal and external customers. Strong and efficient workload management skills to include planning, organizing, prioritizing and following through on a variety of tasks. Good judgment and problem-solving skills. Ability to maintain a professional composure while working under stress and pressure. Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of data. Ability to work in a professional manner within a team environment.
