Job Summary:
The Associate Director of Marketing and Enrollment Management oversees marketing, enrollment, and community engagement for the Master of Science in Communication (MSC) program. Manages marketing and enrollment vendors and contract relationships. Provides direction and thought leadership to develop strategic marketing, branding, and enrollment goals, and executes programs to achieve them. Develops, defines, and collects metrics to assess marketing and enrollment results. Identifies, creates, and obtains necessary resources to ensure success of marketing and enrollment programs for MSC. The Associate Director will actively create and nurture engagement and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.

Specific Responsibilities:
Marketing and Enrollment Administration
- Directs and leads development of MSC marketing and enrollment strategic plan.
- Oversees & ensures that day-to-day marketing and enrollment operations are appropriately managed, efficient and effective.
- Operationalizes marketing and enrollment goals & objectives and ensures that requisite resources are created or obtained to achieve them.
- Oversees the creation and execution of all marketing and recruitment events.
- Oversees marketing and enrollment data analysis & recommends & implements changes & improvement to better ensure marketing and enrollment objectives.
- Oversees contracts and agreements with outside marketing and enrollment vendors/contractors, ensuring that agreements are complete and reviewed by all necessary NU officials.
Marketing Communications, Outreach, & Recruitment
- Creates and executives strategic marketing communications plan to drive brand awareness of MSC program and recruitment in appropriate target markets.
- Builds and maintains collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders to increase program profile, reputation, visibility and support of the MSC program.
- Actively obtains market intelligence by monitoring program/project peers/competitors, conducting market research and evaluation as necessary, and sharing information with appropriate groups.
- Builds relationships with appropriate communities, organizations, and employers that will result in program/project enhancement.
Student Enrollment Management
- Oversees recruitment, application evaluation, interview, selection and admissions of MSC students.
- Establishes MSC admissions criteria in accordance with associated NU policy.
- Oversees the application, admissions, and enrollment analytics processes.
- Creates informative reports on the recruitment and enrollment processes for the Faculty Director and the School administration.
Strategic Planning
- Develops and implements a comprehensive, visionary marketing, recruitment, and enrollment strategy designed to continually grow and improve the MSC brand, enrollment, and engagement with internal and external stakeholders
- Provides guidance and support to staff in the creation of marketing, recruitment, and enrollment program/project components.
Miscellaneous
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Successful completion of a full 4-year course of study in an accredited college or university leading to a bachelor's or higher degree in an area such as communication, marketing, business, media, or liberal arts OR appropriate combination of education and experience
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a complex academic environment

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, organizational skills, management of own time, and respect for the time of others.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively control and participate in multiple projects of varying priorities in a consistently professional manner. The ability to deliver projects on-time and on-budget.
- Excellent public speaking and presentation abilities
- Ability to act on own initiative to further organizational and University goals
- Demonstrated ability to analyze problems from multiple points of view, to lead consensus building within groups with differing views, and to translate consensus into planned action
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree, preferably in a communication, marketing, business or allied field.
- 5 years of experience in higher education marketing, communications and/or admissions
Preferred Competencies: (Skills, knowledge, and abilities)
- Knowledge of CRM platforms, such as Slate.
- Knowledge of webinar platforms (e.g., Ellumniate).
- Prior experience with digital marketing tools and processes, including but not limited to targeted and interactive marketing products.
