A. Experience, Knowledge and Skill

1. Specialized or Technical Education Required: BA/BS degree in business or health care-related field is required. A Master’s Degree or Project Management Certification is preferred.

2. Core Competencies Required: Excellent written, verbal, communication and

presentation skills required. Strong organizational and financial backgrounds are required. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail required.

3. Previous Healthcare Leadership Experience Preferred: Prior management experience within a healthcare setting preferred.

4. Manual or Physical Skills Required: Must be capable of performing all skills required in day-to-day operations.

B. Work Complexities:

The individual performing in this position must be able to coordinate activities and organize work in an efficient and timely manner. The individual performing in this position must be able to evaluate and establish priorities, design and accomplish related goals and objectives and efficiently coordinate the activities and administrative functions of multiple and different operating areas.

Errors in performance of the responsibilities listed above and/or communications/directives could result in unacceptable levels of operation (including sub-standard service-related performance, sub-standard financial performance, non-compliance with applicable laws and regulations, non-compliance with other external standards, and non-compliance with internal policies, procedures, standards and expectations).


Responsibilities:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

 

1. Manages the progress of service line projects

2. Creates a plan for each project to be communicated with and approved by the Vice President of the Service Line

3. Accountable for executing and leading project plans ensuring completion of deliverables within the defined deadlines, scope, and budget

4. Establishes long-term and short-term goals and manages the achievement of these projects within the established deadlines

5. Organizes meetings with all of the stakeholders involved in the project

6. Delegates tasks to employees best positioned to complete tasks

7. Communicates with staff and partners regarding the progression of projects

8. Serves as a point of contact for teams when multiple units are assigned the same project to ensure team actions remain in synergy

9. Communicates with Senior Leadership regularly on updates and alignment with service line goals

10. Performs quality control on the project throughout development to maintain the standards as expected

11. Measures project performance using appropriate tools/techniques, tracks completion of action items, and develops baseline metrics of success

12. Autonomously adjusts schedules and targets on the projects as needs and financing for the project changes and communicates these changes to vice president

13. Works collaboratively with other service line leadership when needed

14. Completes adequate costs analysis on projects, capital equipment budgeting, and new services

15. Requests quotes and orders any capital equipment through the proper capital equipment ordering process

16. Promotes superior customer service by

(i) serving as a role model for customer service;

(ii) maintaining good working relationships with stakeholders

(iii) building a sense of teamwork within the service line

OTHER DUTIES

1. Attends, participates in, and facilitates meetings as requested

2. Actively analyzes survey results to determine trends and prioritizes activities to maximize stakeholder satisfaction

3. Maintains professional affiliations and enhances professional growth and development to keep abreast of the latest trends within the Orthopedic Service Line

4. Develops and maintains relationships with civic, community, and professional affiliations as directed and/or appropriate.

5. Ensures compliance with that all North Oaks Health System and North Oaks Physician Group policies and procedures, compliance programs, and federal and state regulatory guidelines.

6. Performs other duties as assigned
