Summary:
Directs the development and implementation of successful business development strategies and physician relations initiatives on behalf of North Oaks Health System and its affiliates.

1. Previous Experience Required:
Five years’ experience in marketing and business development required. Supervisory experience preferred.
2. Specialized or Technical Education Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications or related field. Master’s Degree preferred.
3. Manual or Physical Skills Required:
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to effectively interface with individuals in every level of an organization. Must possess outstanding time management skills and be able to focus attention on a variety of projects without sacrificing quality. Must have knowledge of computers and keyboarding ability. Must have current driver’s license.

Responsibilities:
1. Oversee management of the health system’s Marketing, Digital Media, and Print and Production departments. Assists with Business Development in creating a unified brand and supporting organization’s strategic initiatives.
2. Develop and implement departmental goals, objectives, policies and procedures for Marketing, Digital Media, and Print and Production departments.
3. Oversee the development, implementation and day-to-day management of service-line/product marketing and promotional plans to meet strategic business goals. Strategies/tactics may include, but are not limited to, traditional advertising channels, social media, special events and patient/prospect education/seminars.
4. Build and foster a consultative relationship with the Business Development team and leadership of stakeholder departments to facilitate assessment of retail readiness, identify opportunities to improve processes or patient experience and strengthen the North Oaks brand. Collaborate with leadership of stakeholder departments to develop action plans to address improvement opportunities.
5. Develop and oversee annual operating budget for the Marketing, Digital Media, and Print & Production Departments with provisions for capital expenditures and staff costs. Ensure departments are financially responsible and operate within allocated funds.
6. Develop, implement and oversee use of measurement tools designed to track the timeliness and success of marketing strategies and sales initiatives, including use of customer relationship management system.
7. Work with Strategic teams and stakeholders to track and trend monthly progress to growth plan/budget and recommend adjustments to approved strategies and tactics required to achieve goals. Recommend adjustments to marketing strategies as required to achieve growth goals.
8. Assist leadership in the analysis of competitor activity in the market, including product offerings, promotion, delivery systems and pricing and make recommendations to position North Oaks offerings appropriately.
9. Provide comprehensive and timely reporting of all marketing activities to leadership
10. Assist stakeholders in collaborating with leadership of stakeholder departments to identify, create and implement new product offerings.
11. Select, train, manage work activities, mentor and develop staff through departmental and individual meetings, and conduct/review annual evaluations.
12. Meet with vendors and evaluate their services. Make recommendations to Leadership regarding selection of vendors. Manage contracts with vendors and oversee the purchase of advertising and other services.
13. Manage specialty inventories to support business development efforts and community events.
14. Build relationships with counterparts in professional and community organizations and participate in multiple community activities and organizations as a representative of North Oaks. Maintain an institutional focus and sensitivity to community needs in all dealings on behalf of the Health System.
