Experience/Skills:
Previous work in food service operation is preferred.
Licensure/Certification/Registration:
Must have a valid driver’s license and must be able to drive North Oaks Food Transportation Vehicle.
Physical Demands:
Must be able to safely use food service equipment such as knives, slicers, blenders, etc.
Requires considerable hand-eye coordination in preparing patient trays on a conveyor.

Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for accurately completing daily patient meal tally form.
2. Responsible for accurately and efficiently gathering meal items (hot and cold) to be delivered from NOMC to NORH for patient meal service.
3. Responsible for daily meal delivery from NOMC to NORH.
4. Responsible for meal tray assembly.
5. Responsible for proper usage of sanitation procedures, including proper storage and handling of food
6. Responsible for maintaining and documenting proper temperature thresholds for transported food items
7. Responsible for accurately completing daily temperature logs for coolers/freezer throughout NORH campus (kitchen, cafeteria, CMR, TLA, etc.).
8. Responsible for proper usage of kitchen utensils and equipment.
9. Able to accurately read patients menus when setting up meal trays.
10. Responsible for preparing and delivering daily meals to Infusion Therapy patients.
11. Responsible for accurately preparing patient menus for the following day.
12. Able to drive Nutritional Services Food Transport Vehicle.
13. Responsible for weekly/bi-weekly stocking of nourishment rooms and refrigerators at NORH campus (Infusion, CMR, CMR gym, VP office, Dr. office).
14. Responsible for accurately filling requisitions (juice, coffee, etc.) in timely manner.
15. Prepares salads, sandwiches, and desserts for assigned meals, and assists in preparation of salads and desserts for cafeteria.
16. Works on meal service line to set up all patient trays, makes diet modifications according to the age of the patient served, (pediatrics, adolescents, adults, geriatrics), including any religious ethnic or cultural requests.
17. Discards leftovers from patient trays, loads dish machine, and removes clean dishes from machine following meals.
18. Routine cleaning and polishing of equipment.
19. Responsible for sweeping and mopping floors (dish-room, cooler, stockroom, and kitchen).
20. Delivers patient carts to station.
21. Responsible for participation in QA/CQI studies as needed.
22. Responsible for preparation of cold pureed food on patient line.
23. Responsible for proper management of patient information.
24. Responsible for the preparation and delivery of patient H.S. snacks and/or nourishments.
25. Able to work Food Service Clerk position as needed.
26. Running cash register as needed.
27. Cooks when needed.
28. Follows North Oaks Health System Compliance Programs and Federal and State regulatory guidelines.
29. Other duties as assigned.
