Patient Care: Accurately and safely performs and records lab procedures in a timely manner while maintaining quality control standards.
Equipment Maintenance: Responsible for proper use and care of lab equipment and supplies.
Inventory and Supplies: Responsible for maintaining and/or ordering proper levels of inventory and supplies needed in the clinic for cost efficient, quality care of patients.
Regulatory Knowledge: Responsible for practicing in accordance with JCAHO, CLIA, State Board of Health, and OSHA standards.
Requirements:
Medical Technologist Bachelor's Degree in Science or in a Medical Technologist Degree. If non-certified upon employment within six months, the incumbent must successfully pass the certifying exam.
Certified Medical Technologist by a nationally recognized certifying agency, ASCP, AMT or NCA.
Previous clinical Medical Technology experience in the hospital setting is desirable

Requirements:
- MLT require completion of a two year accredited Medical Laboratory Technologist program with appropriate licensure and certification.
- High school diploma required, combination of experience and education or an Associate's Degree from accredited college program with MLT licensure from ASCP.
- Prefer previous medical office or hospital experience.
- Maintains and enhances knowledge and skills in current technology to provide care to infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults and geriatrics.
