The New Jersey Hospital Association is a not-for-profit trade organization committed to delivering support and services to the state's hospitals, health systems and other healthcare providers. We share a collective goal of providing quality, affordable and accessible healthcare to the people of the Garden State. We are seeking a Web Manager. Objective: Works with the VP of Communications and other NJHA executives to create and maintain a Web strategy that meets organizational and business outcomes. Designs, develops, implements and monitors effectiveness of all NJHA Web sites.
Essential Job Functions: 1. Works with key executives to develop and implement corporate Web strategy for all Web sites. Assesses organizations needs and coordinates and manages user input to create effective Web content and efficient plans and designs. 2. Works with NJHA departments to develop Web content, copy and functionality that is user-centered, timely and effective in an electronic environment. 3. Reviews (with input from IT) and recommends the technological platforms and software to support the foundation of the Web site(s) for the optimal use of Web resources. 4. Serves as the central junction for all Web-based utility, leading the initiatives and connecting the resources including content development, design and technical support. 5. Maintains and continually improves all organizational Web sites including the NJHA Intranet and NJHA listservs. 6. Uses search engine optimization strategies to help NJHA increase its Web presence. 7. Advises NJHA on additional electronic strategies including social media applications. 8. Develops layout, organizational structure, user interface and design specifications. 9. Works with graphic design team for visual content and branding. 10. Monitors content for timeliness and maintaining a process and schedule for updates. 11. Trains and supports staff in use of basic content management system functions, and creating/maintaining necessary documentation. 12. Troubleshoots website problems in collaboration with IT. 13. Works with IT to ensure integration between website and other platforms including association management system and learning management system. 14. Supports additional departmental deliverables including digital newsletters and social media. 15. Abides by the terms and conditions of the Confidentiality & Non-Disclosure Agreement.
Non-Essential Functions: 1. Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: A bachelor's degree or equivalent required. Strong collaboration, oral and written communication skills necessary. Able to conduct research and embrace continuous learning. At least three years prior experience, and more preferred, as a principal Web developer or equivalent assignment with demonstrated responsibility for Web strategy, content development, design and implementation. Experience with Microsoft Suite (mostly Word and SharePoint); IDE/Coding Text Editor (e.g., Visual Studio Code, Atom, and Sublime); Content Management Systems (preferably open source); and Google (Analytics, Tag Manager, and ideally Data Studio); and some user experience implementation. Required programing languages include HTML5, CSS3, and JQuery/Javascript. Familiar with Bootstrap framework preferred. Ideally, has the ability to learn and become familiar with a variety of JS libraries and tool, e.g., Shart.js and Timeline.js.
