Mechanical Design Engineer for Covidien LP (a Medtronic company), North Haven, CT. Requires Master's in Mechanical Engineer, Robotics Engineer or Mechatronics & 6 months of experience in engineering for Robotic Assisted Surgery systems. Must possess minimum 6 months with each of the following: GD&T per ASME Y14.5M-1994, tolerance analysis; 2D & 3D design mechanisms using Creo; Finite Element Analysis using ANSYS; develop & integrate electro-mechanical designs; develop rapid prototypes with additive manufacturing techniques; Windchill, Agile documentation & JIRA issue tracking software; design, specify & apply various sensor technologies with data DAQ tools; analyze data with Minitab & develop regression reports; & CE-Tol, MATLAB, Simulink & LabView software applications.
